Actress
Julia Roberts Finds ‘Christ’
All has been quiet lately on the Julia Roberts front. Â The actress has a pretty nice, small role in last year’s ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’, but, other than a few animated films, we haven’t seen nor heard from much of her since 2004’s ‘Ocean’s Twelve.’ Â She has ‘Duplicity’ coming out in a couple of weeks, but she has also just signed on to produce ‘Jesus Henry Christ’, a comedy to be directed by Dennis Lee.
‘Christ’ is based on Lee’s Student Academy Award-winning short film of the same name, and follows Henry James Hermin, a boy conceived in a petri-dish and raised by a loving, left-wing feminist. At the age of 10, he decides his mother’s love is not enough and begins to follow a trail of Post-It notes stuck around town hoping it will lead him to his biological father. Â Lee also wrote and directed ‘Fireflies in the Garden’ which also stars Roberts.
There are no plans at this time for Roberts to star in ‘Jesus Henry Christ.’
