Box Office Report Feb.27-Mar.1:Madea Spanks Jonas Brothers-Jailed For Child Abuse.
Tyler Perry’s elderly alter ego is a hit at the box office for the second week in a row! ‘Madea Goes to Jail’ brought in $16.5 million, good enough for the top spot at the box office this weekend. Madea was able to “bitch-slap” those punk kids (Jonas Brothers) back to number 2. The Jonas Brothers concert film was only able to net $12.7 Â million over the weekend. The weekends big loser was video game turned feature film ‘Street Fighter:The legend of Chun-Li’ which only scraped together a measly $4.6 million and opened in 8th place. Slumdog saw an Oscar winning bump at the box office this past weekend soaring up to number 3 with $12 million in it’s 16th week of release! Here is how the rest of the top ten shook out:

Madea make way at the top next weekend. Beginning Thursday Night at midnight and continuing through Sunday the comic book geeks will be heard.
