Mickey Rourke may not return for ‘Sin City 2’

By  |

Despite everyone’s assumption that Rourke would return to reprise his role as Marv in the sequel to ‘Sin City’, this possibility apparently isn’t so set in stone. During an interview with Mickey Rourke on MTV’s Splash Page, Rourke seemed a s though we was on board, but during a press junket for Darren Aronofsky’s ‘The Wrestler’ he made references to a new lack of interest in that particular project.

The actor who has recently hit “potential” gold with his comeback performance as retired professional wrestler Randy ‘The Ram’ Robinson told ComingSoon.net/Superhero Hype! the following:

“No, I’m not interested in that right now. That’s not a reality right now. It’s pissing in the wind,” Rourke admitted. “There’s different factions going different directions there. I don’t know. That’s three hours of make up and I’m claustrophobic, so I’m going to have to work something out.”

It’s unclear whether he’s truly lost interest or if maybe he’s hoping for some more “serious” roles with the surprise success of ‘The Wrestler’. What do you think? Should he return to ‘Sin City 2’ or is he bound for bigger, better things?
