A documentary about finding love on YouTube

This guy above, Daniel Meadows is from Australia and fell in love with an American Girl on youtube (who hasn’t?). They documented their relationship before meeting through youtube and when he decided to go to USA and meet her, he got nabbed by homeland security on suspicion of terrorism. Well this unlikely story is being made into a feature full length documentary by Producers Chris Adams, Steve Kearney and producer-director RJ Cutler. THR gives us this:

Kearney, who had followed the affair on Youtube, brought it to the attention of Adams, a co-founder of Participant Media. Adams in turn enlisted Cutler, president of Actual Reality Pictures, with whom he’d worked on the Web-based TV series “Facebook Diaries” for Facebook.com.

The plan is to fashion a documentary out of a combination of existing YouTube footage and added footage.

The story, Adam said, “is one of those surreal things that you couldn’t hope to write and make up.”

Wow, talk about a bad omen!
