‘Gran Torino’ Poster and Details Released
Remember back when nothing was known about Clint Eastwood’s next movie, ‘Gran Torino’? Â Remember the Dirty Harry rumors? Â Well, Clint looks just about as badass as Harry Callahan in the new poster released for ‘Gran Torino’.
In the film, Eastwood plays Walt Kowalski, a Korean war vet whose also a bit of a racist. Â A teenaged, Hmong immogrant tries to steal Walt’s prized possession, his 1972 Gran Torino. Â If the look on Eastwood’s face and the way he’s holding that M-1 rifle are any indication, that’s a major no-no in Walt’s world.
Eastwood is saying this will more than likely be his last acting role. Â He recently spoke with USA Today and had this to say about his character:
“He worked on the line in the Ford plant and retired and had this one car he bought himself. It’s sort of a symbol of his days with the Ford plant. The M-1 is sort of a symbol of his days in the military. †¦ He’s clinging to the memory of the war. You’ll find out when you see it, some of (the memories) are not as pleasant as others. That helps make him even tougher to get along with.”
‘Gran Torino’ comes out on December 17th.
