Long Delayed ‘Trick r Treat’ to Open Screamfest LA

It’s been a stories journey for ‘Trick R Treat’, the Bryan Singer-produced horror film that Warner Bros. has delayed time and time again for the past year and a half.   Filming was completed in January of 2007, and the company has just sat on it, pushing its release date back further and further.

However, according to Dread Central, the film is finally seeing it’s big-screen premier at this year’s Screamfest LA.   The film is scheduled to open the festival at Mann’s Chinese 6 Theatre on October 10th.   Hopefully this means a full-on wide release is not too far behind.

Writer/director, Mike Dougherty, will be on hand after the screening for a Q&A, maybe finally answering what the deal-e-o’s been on the film’s final release.

‘Trick R Treat’ tells four interwoven stories that all occur on Halloween night.   The cast includes Brian Cox, Dylan Baker, Anna Paquin, and Leslie Bibb.
