World Soundtrack Awards Announced

For any lover of soundtracks, not only does the score fill the space of a theater but becomes an integral  player in the film. There’s almost an instant association between the music and the story, and  the soundtrack can make or break a movie. The World Soundtrack Awards, the  supreme international film music event of the year, has announced its nominees for 2008 in 3 major categories including Best Original Score, Film Composer of the Year and Best Original Song. The winners will be announced on Saturday, October 18th at the closing of the 35th Ghent International Film Festival.
