Another weekend at the box office..another movie opens and yet another film fails to unseat The Dark Knight as the top movie in the country! Brendon Fraser and Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor made it a close race but fell short by a little over 2 million dollars. The goat of the week goes to Costner”s Swing Vote (Great call Michelle) managing to scrape up a meager 6.2 million from the cast’s family and friends. Here is how the rest of the top 10 looks:
1. The Dark Knight                                                  $42,664,219
2.  Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor                 $40,457,770
3.  Step Brothers                                                      $16,506,526
4.  Mama Mia                                                           $12,615,515
5.  Journey to the Center of the Earth                      $ 6,662,406
6.  Swing Vote                                                         $ 6,230,669
7.  Hancock                                                             $ 5,087,756
8.  Wall-E                                                                 $ 4,603,179
9.  X-Files:I Want to Believe                                     $ 3,385,878
10. Space Chimps                                                     $ 2,720,177
This weekend the Dark Knight wont have much opposition for the top spot..4 girls and some magic blue jeans and a couple of stoners on the run from a gang of killers. Looks like the Bat will continue to soar!Â
