Anderson Out as ‘Spy Hunter’ Director
Around a year ago, it was announced that Paul W.S. Anderson would be helming the long in-development adaptation of the video game ‘Spy Hunter’. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was also attached to star in the film, but news about the film’s development quickly subsided.
Now comes word that Anderson is looking to step aside as the film’s director, possibly handling screenwriting duties.
Latino Review sat down with Anderson at this year’s Comic-Con to discuss his latest films, ‘Death Race’. Here’s what the director had to say:
“I don’t know if I’ll ever do another car movie after this, because I really feel like we pushed it to the max and the only other car movie I’ll do is maybe a sequel to this.”
Presumably, Johnson is still attached to star.
