‘Robocop’ not a reboot, but actually a sequel!

We here at WAMG mentioned this project a while back, back now there’s some interesting update news … the ‘Robocop’ remake … uh, whoops. Let me rephrase … the ‘Robocop’ SEQUEL is still getting the greenlight. Not only that, but the rumors of tagging director Darren Aronofsky to helm the “sequel” are apparently more like facts.Thanks to some great tips acquired by Bloody-Disgusting.com, it appears MGM and Phoenix Pictures are getting delightfully close to signing Aronofsky to a deal to make this film happen. Some may say this sounds like an odd choice, but I’m cool with it … I’ve loved everything Aronofsky has done so far.

Logline: [Present day Los Angeles, 20 years after the termination of the RoboCop program, the city decides to reinstate the program.]
