Review: ‘Wrong Turn 2: Dead End’

I enjoyed this one a hell of a lot more than I did the first ‘Wrong Turn’, maybe because it features one of my favorite dudes in Hollywood Henry Rollins(Black Flag, Writer, Actor, Spoken Word guru). The story follows a group of people that are shooting a reality TV show in the middle of no where ala survivor style. Henry Rollins plays the host of the show, ex military Colonel Dale Murphy who is a mixture of Rambo meets MacGyver. There are no other notable actors/actresses in this flick, and that wont change after this as the acting performances werent amazing, but they werent really bad.

This time around the surviving cannibals from the first movie are out to terrorize, kill and eat the contestants of the show. Dale Murphy(Rollins) gets captured by them and as they are about to kill him he escapes and kills one of them. He sets out on a mission(Rambo style, without the headband) with a gun, and bow & arrow to take out the remaining members of this grotesque cannibal crew. Unfortunately he doesnt get to any of the contestants before 75% are dead.

There is a bunch of gore in the unrated movie, and some of it is pretty kickass. There is one scene at the beginning of the movie where a girl gets literally chopped in half by an axe, each half of her gets carried off by the cannibals. Pretty sweet horror violence in this movie, and definitely worth checking out if you havent seen it yet.
