The child actor phenomenon …

What is it about child actors that make them grow up to be short little guys? What am I talking about, you ask? Here is a little chart of big child stars, and their heights:

Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone, My Girl, The Good Son) – 5’7″
Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense, many others) – 5’6″
Thomas Ian Nicholas (Rookie of the year) – 5’7″
Danny Bonaduce (The Partridge Family) – 5’6″
Jonathan Lipnicki (Jerry Maguire, Stuart Little) – 5’6″
Corey Feldman (Lost Boys, Goonies, Stand By Me) – 5’8″
Elijah Wood (The Good Son, Forever Young) – 5’6″

There are a ton of other people I could use as examples, but why would these child stars grow up to be so damn short? Is it some big conspiracy and they are taking things to stunt their growth so we still see them as those child actors?
