‘Lemmy’ will forever crank it up to 11
That’s right boys, girls and Heavy Metal fans … Lemmy from Motorhead will be the subject of a new documentary tentatively titled Lemmy. It is slated for a 2009 release, and will have interviews with music legends such as Slash, Dave Grohl, Mike Jones from The Clash, and Alice Cooper.
Yahoo scored this info:
“Lemmy never ceases to surprise me,” said Wes Orshoski, who is directing and producing the movie with Greg Olliver. “You think you know who Lemmy is, but you have no idea. If you think you have Lemmy all figured out, trust me. You don’t!”
“Shooting Lemmy is like filming dangerous wildlife. He never does what you expect him to do, and he never does anything you want him to do,” added Olliver. “A lot of the coolest shots are shots we had to wait for four or five shows to go by before we could get them.”
The filmmakers, both of whom have contributed to Billboard, have not yet signed a distribution deal for the film. But a teaser clip, featuring concert footage and dirty jokes, is available at Lemmymovie.com
The teaser trailer is actually really good … but harsh language.
