‘Descent 2’ is on its way …

After director Neil Marshall’s “low-budget” indie horror film smashed box office expectations with a $57 million payday, its no surprise that its caused some to get sequel-fever. Marshall is not attached to direct the sequel … instead, it will be Jon Harris, who edited the original film. Marshall will however be producing, along with Christian Colson. Shauna MacDonald and Natalie Mendoza are both slated to return to the sequel in their previous roles. The story follows these two characters as they return to the cave system to attempt a “rescue” mission for the rest of their group. Celador Films and Pathe are working together on bringing this sequel to life, which will be shot on location in Scotland and at Ealing Studios in London.
