‘X-Files’ sequel gets its name …

By  |

The second motion picture installment of the popular science-fiction television series now has an official title … X-Files: I Want to Believe. Not bad … for those who watched the show, as did I, you’ll know where this title came from. Agent Fox Mulder, played by David Duchovny, had a poster with this phrase on it hanging in his office. Apparently, the only thing we do know about the story is that it will not deal with aliens or extraterrestrials … at all! Creator Chris Carter, in an interview with the Associated Press, stated that the film will remain true to its origins and storyline as it has occurred so far, but will have a stand-alone plot that carries itself and will revolve around an Earthly mystery. Carter emphasized how, even though many loyal fans will be watching, he is considering that there are many younger audiences that weren’t old enough, or even born yet, when the TV series and the first movie came around. Carter hopes to attract both audiences. Other than this, the details are being kept as classified as the truth behind Area 51.
