WAMG First Look: ‘Surveillance’ … a Lynch family project

Jennifer Lynch (Boxing Helena) is not only a writer-director, but she’s also the daughter of David Lynch. [This is one of those moments where, if you don’t recognize the name … its best to keep that to yourself.] Jennifer is proving to be a chip off the old man’s block with her sophomore film … yes, this is her second film … 15 years after Boxing Helena. Jennifer’s new film is Surveillance, a creepy thriller that is also produced by her father and stars Bill Pullman (You Kill Me), Julia Ormond (Inland Empire), Michael Ironside (The Perfect Storm), French Stewart (God, the Devil and Bob) and Cheri Oteri (Southland Tales).

The film’s plot is not well-known, but IMDB.com has this to offer: [“An FBI agent tracks a serial killer with the help of three of his would-be victims – all of whom have wildly different stories to tell.”] What is known is that the trailer looks really good and gives a bit more insight into the type of film it appears to be, but as is typically the case with her father’s films … plot is a very subjective and likely to surprise. Surveillance will premiere in Germany and is expected to show up in the USA this year, but no official USA release date has been announced yet.
