WAMG First Look at ‘Knowing’

Yeah, so its kind of early to be looking at this film in any great detail, but I am such a huge fan of Proyas’ that I had to start a conversaion about his newest film Knowing, his first in four years. The film will star Nicolas Cage and casting has just added Rose Byrne (Sunshine). Proyas works slowly and deliberately, always producing good, if not great work. Not a great deal is known yet about the movie, which hasn’t even started shooting yet, but here’s the general plot outline as it appears on IMDB.com …

[A teacher (Cage) opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son’s elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions — some that have already occurred and others that are about to — that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold. ]

In case some of you aren’t familiar with the work of director Alex Proyas, let me refresh you’re memory. I am positive nearly all of you have seen at least one of his films … you just may not realize it. (P.S. He’s also in talks to direct the Silver Surfer spin-off movie for Marvel.)
