‘The Spook’s Apprentice’ … a sad twist of fate

Once hailed as an incredible project for Tim Burton and Johnny Depp to reunite their creative collaborative forces in bringing to the screen … no more. Warner Brothers and Legendary have instead opted to go with the less risky, and ultimately less interesting choice of Kevin Lima to direct this adaptation of the popular children’s fantasy series.
You may remember Kevin Lima as the director of the very popular Enchanted film. I am sure WB certainly remembered him and his movie’s gleefully massive box office returns. Oh well, Tim Burton will surely find another idea soon and I’ll be standing in line for tickets when he does. |
