With Paul Bettany (The DaVinci Code) already set to play the role of the archangel Michael in a new apocalyptic thriller called Legion, Dennis Quaid is now nearing a deal to star in the film as well. Also cast in the film are Charles S. Dutton (Alien 3), Tyrese Gibson (Four Brothers), Jon Tenney (You Can Count on Me), Kate Walsh (Kicking & Screaming), Kevin Durand (Smokin’ Aces) and Lucas Black (Jarhead). Legion will be the directorial debut for Scott Stewart who comes from an accomplished visual effects background, including work on films such as Live Free or Die Hard, Pirates of the Caribbean (2 & 3), Grindhouse, Superman Returns, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Sin City, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Mars Attacks!. [Impressive!] So, the following plot synopsis looks even better when considering the director is so well-versed in quality visual effects work. [When God loses faith in humanity and sends his legion of angels to take care of business on Earth, humankind’s hope lies in a group of misfits holed up in a desert diner — where the archangel Michael happens to be as well.] — Plot outline courtesy of IMDB.com |
