‘Attack of the Killer Tomatoes’ … REMAKE! No Kidding!
Honestly, it was only a matter of time. I’ve always thought that, if Hollywood is going to focus on so many remakes, they should do so with movies that have plenty of room for improvement. Don’t get me wrong … AOTKT is a classic. However the remake turns out, it won’t accomplish what the original has … so to speak. My point being, why keep remaking movies that are already great?
The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes adaptation is being written by Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine, creators of the appropriately wierd web series Ask a Ninja, which is hilariously stupid, but good fun. Kent Nichols will make his directorial debut with this remake. M. Dal Walton III will produce the remake of this cult classic, which continues his run at becoming the new modern master of cult remakes. Walton produced the remake of Day of the Dead, is currently producing the remake of Red Sonja and is rumored to be working on a potential remake of Terror Train. Maybe we can get Michael Bay to take some pointers from these guys.
