Anthony Minghella dies at 54

Oscar-winning writer-director Anthony Minghella has died at the age of 54. As reported by Variety, Minghella was in London on Tuesday when he died of an apparent brain hemorrhage after undergoing a routine operation on his neck.
Menghella was the force behind such great films as The English Patient (1996), The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) and Cold Mountain (2003). Minghella had just finished his newest film The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency and was attached to two other films in development. |
