. | For those movie geeks well-versed in the classics, you already know what an amazing director Dassin was and have likely immersed yourselves into many of his wonderful films.
For those younger, and/or less classicly inclined readers who may have thought about broadening their tastes to include some achromatic gems into their cinematic vocabulary … this is a good place to start. Born in 1911, Dassin was fortunate to have lived a long life and enjoy a successful career. Dassin died late Monday night while in Athens, Greece. Here are a few of Dassin’s great films: |
