‘Where the Wild Things Are’ is Resurrected from TBA

Where the Wild Things Are is being adapted into a motion picture … actually, its been in progress from developmental Hell to its most recent battle with the dreaded studio status of TBA (that’s, to be announced) while it’s director, Spike Jonze, has fought Warner Brothers over creative differences. Personally, I am ecstatic that Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) is helming the classic children’s fantasy picture book. The worst thing the studio could have done was tag someone like Chris Columbus, turning the masterpiece into a watered-down daytime kid’s show. But, we now have a new  release date [as reported by Slashfilm] on October 16, 2009.
