“The Fly” : The Opera? Maybe the best idea ever.

This fall the LA Opera will be creating a production of David Cronenberg’s classic The Fly with David Cronenberg himself directing it, and Howard Shore providing the score. Yes, Howard “Lord of the Rings, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises” Shore. That one. Look, just go to the LA Opera and read all about it, they’ve got a really cool production designer, and quality people adapting it into an operatic form, so it’s just going to be ridiculous and amazing. I will certainly be doing everything in my power to get a seat.
