Justice League (Minus Two) in 2010

According to the buzz on Rotten Tomatoes and Moviehole.net, it looks like the Justice League movie has pushed its shooting start date to 2010. But perhaps more importantly, it may find itself without its two highest profile members, Batman and Superman. In a fairly clever move by Warner Brothers to keep its popular single hero franchises from getting tangled up in an ensemble piece, the Justice League movie will deal with the team struggling to stay a cohesive group after Batman leaves and Superman dies at the hands of villain Doomsday (both of which obviously staying true to moments in the comics). So the movie will instead focus on heroes we HAVEN’T see before on screen, like Green Lantern, The Flash, Martian Manhunter (I hope), etc. It also means you won’t have to see Brandon Routh’s cardboard incarnation of Superman get into arguments with Christian Bale’s Batman, which I’m not sure I’d be able to take seriously. Mostly because I’d be waiting for Bale to punch that version of Supes’ head off at any given moment.
