Freddy’s Dead … Englund Dumped

Robert Englund is the reason the Nightmare on Elm Street movie were so successful. Without him, they would have been just  another bunch of slasher films from the 80’s. The Nightmare movies were fun and original and Englund created a character who had just as much fun slicin’ and dicin’ teens in their dreams. Well it appears Englund’s dream has come to an end. According to “a number of industry sources,” [as reported on shocktilyoudrop.com]  Michael Bay’s studio Platinum Dunes is looking to recast the monster in the red and black sweater. It’s unfortunate that all signs seem to be suggesting Englund is getting the Kane Hodder treatment. So, the big big question now is … Who’s up for filling the razor blade fingered glove?
