Apatow Not Slowing Down With “Five Year Engagement”
The Pineapple Express and Forgetting Sarah Marshall aren’t even out yet, and Judd Apatow has set up another comedy to look forward to. Variety reports that Apatow has put Five Year Engagement into the works which will reteam the writer/director of Forgetting Sarah Marshall Nick Stoller with the writer/star of FSM Jason Siegel. Described by Variety as a “bawdy, couples comedy”, Engagement continues the group’s brand of smart relationship comedy with a continued intent to “explore the depth of human misery”, according to Stoller.
What does this mean for you this early on? Well, not much other than a general buzz of excitement that you’ll have plenty of other good things to watch instead of Mike Myers’ upcoming crap fest. Hey, how about we watch that Pineapple Express trailer again? I’ve seen it about 25 times, but hey that’s not media bias, it’s just me GEEKING OUT (kinda like Hulking Out, only less things get smashed).
