Who is that guy? Oh, it’s Danny Trejo!

So we started a new segment here on WAMG, called “Who is that guy?” in which we will talk about “Those Guys” that are in a lot of movies, but you might not know who they are. Well that is what we are going to do for you, expose you to some really great actors, and at the same time increasing your useless movie knowledge.

First up on the list is Danny Trejo, one of my favorite, more underrated actors. His name is pronounced Treh-ho. Danny has been in a steady stream of movies since 1985. Early in his career he mostly played bad-ass, tough as nails Hispanic roles.

Most of you probably remember him in Desperado as Navajas the Colombian knife thrower that took down Antonio Banderas. From there he had several roles in Heat, From Dusk Till Dawn, Anaconda, Con Air, and The Replacement Killers.

IMDB has Danny listed with 149 different movies/TV shows under his belt which is an impressive feat in itself.

Recently Danny had a “Fake† Trailer on the front of Grindhouse for a movie called Machete, which is now being made into a full feature film (which is what the picture above is from). He also had a part as a guard in Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween, a role in the upcoming  Sin City 2, Fanboys, and 8 other movies that are slated for 2008 release.   This guy is busy, and he should be!
