WAMG First Look at ‘Teeth’

Teeth (2007) made huge waves at the Sundance Film Festival for first-time feature film  director Mitchell Lichtenstein.  Jess Weixler stars  as Dawn, a high school student who discovers she is anatomically unique during a violent encounter. Dawn must learn to cope with her own sexuality while  being a living manifestation of the urban myth known as vagina dentata. Billed as both comedy and horror, Teeth has been described as being darkly humorous while also reminiscent of 1950’s style teen horror flicks. Teeth is currently in very limited release on American screens, so keep your eyes open at your local independent or art-house cinema.
