Cloverfield Monster Exposed?! Or Not…

By  |

The massive viral campaign that has been surging since the “1-18-08″”Cloverfield” Teaser Trailer during the long awaited debut of “The Transformers” hit the big-screen, and kicked off. Complete with gag orders, and fake websites… This movie has thus-far been the most Top Secret, and much discussed project in recent years. Well, we here at WAMG have been on the hunt for the latest news regarding the “Secret Cloverfield Monster”! I have found numerous pictures of what COULD BE the newest addition to the American Monster Movie genre`.

Peter Konig has worked on over 30 feature films and contributed to over 50 next-generation video game titles. He has spent his career sculpting, designing, concepting, animating and art directing. He has played key roles in many film projects such as Dragonheart (Tippett Oscar nomination), Starship Troopers (Tippett Oscar nomination), Evolution, and Blade II among many others. Pete recently created another dragon design for the just released film “Enchanted”. Peter now live in Oakland, CA., and is Tippett’s art director for the upcoming, top secret JJ Abrahms production “Cloverfield”. So, I hunted down some of his work…

Or Could it look like this?:

I personally would be content if they didn’t show the baddie AT ALL. Leave it to our imagination. I thought Jeepers Creepers had potential to be the next great American “Monster Movie”, then they showed the creature in all it’s mini-Predator, Super-Bat glory. Although, J.J. Abrahms has stated we will have a face to face meeting with our Destroyer I’m hoping for it to be able to live up to the hype. With so many questions revolving around this much-talked-about film, the only thing we know for sure is that we will all find out together on 1-18-08 !!
