Sundance 2009: ‘Adventureland’

One of the movies everyone is looking forward to at Sundance this year is ‘Adventureland’ and why not? Its set to be the breakout movie this year. The movie based in the late 80’s and follows the “adventures” of James Brennan. After finding out that his parents cant pay for his trip to Europe, he takes a job at the local amusement park called “Adventureland”. He falls in love at work with Kristen Stewart (who hasn’t?) and has one of the best summers of his life. The movie also stars some of the Judd Apatow alum in Martin Starr and Bill Hader along with Ryan Reynolds!

Miramax has already picked it up, so it will probably see a wide release, but don’t let that stop you from coming out to see it. For those of you not in “the know” here are the screening dates scheduled for it right now:

Tue. Jan 20 9:15 a.m. – ADVNL20CM Eccles Theatre, Park City
Wed. Jan 21 noon – ADVNL21SD Screening Room, Sundance Resort
Thu. Jan 22 6:30 p.m. – ADVNL22GE Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, SLC

There aren’t a ton of chances to see it, but make sure you get there early and snag your tickets if you want to see this before everyone else!
