From 20th Century Fox comes a new featurette for PROMETHEUS. Director Ridley Scott has created a new mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey, aboard the spaceship Prometheus, to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race from an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers. “After you’ve seen Prometheus,” Scott says, “you will have experienced something completely unexpected.”

In theaters on June 8, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and of course, King Julien, Maurice and the Penguins are all along for the comedic adventure. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent – Madagascar style.

The global success of 2005’s “Madagascar” and its lively 2008 sequel “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,” proved that while the films were broad comedies with plenty of action, they were, above all, well-told stories with universal themes audiences related to. For the filmmakers, it was never enough to just go for the laughs.

As director/writer Tom McGrath says: “Having an emotional spine to a story is really what carries you through — because if you just string a lot of jokes together, there isn’t much to cling to.”  Director/writer Eric Darnell observes: “As an audience you want to be able to connect with and empathize with the characters’ wants and needs. To be able to plumb those depths is critical.”

The filmmakers’ desire to take the characters to new places — literally and figuratively — continues in “Madagascar 3.” Incorporating Ralph Waldo Emerson’s inspirational quote, “Life is a journey, not a destination” as their maxim, the filmmakers’ chose to explore themes of what it means to be home, having confidence and finding ones passions. As a result, Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria have found a better sense of who they are, while grappling with the wilds of Madagascar and Africa. As Darnell puts it, “That’s what has been the core desire of our guys from the beginning: To identify their place in the world.”

In the third installment of the billion-dollar “Madagascar” franchise, Alex (Ben Stiller), Marty (Chris Rock), Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Melman (David Schwimmer) are determined to make their way back to The Central Park Zoo in New York City. In this new featurette for BATTLESHIP, director Peter Berg and actors Taylor Kitsch & Rihanna discuss Universal Pictures’ action-adventure movie.

Battleship filmed primarily on location in Honolulu, Hawaii, and received unprecedented support from the U.S. Navy throughout production. The Navy allowed the motion-picture crew to visit several Arleigh Burke-class destroyers while in Pearl Harbor—USS Hopper (DDG 70), temporarily moored in Pearl Harbor, as well as USS Preble (DDG 88) and USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93), both home ported in Hawaii. Additionally, the production was able to visit Chung-Hoon at sea, which allowed cast and crew to view the sailors as they trained.

Fittingly, the team shot on the Battleship Missouri Memorial (BB-63), the site of the 1945 Japanese surrender to Allied forces, which marked the end of World War II.

In Summer 2012, the battle for Earth begins at sea.

Gadson, a battalion leader who lost both legs in Iraq in 2007.  Gadson plays Lieutenant Colonel Mick Canales, an Army combat veteran and double amputee who begins his recovery just as the alien attack begins.

Inspired by Hasbro’s classic naval-combat game, Battleship is produced by Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir of Hasbro (the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises), Scott Stuber (Safe House, Couples Retreat), Film 44’s Sarah Aubrey (The Kingdom), along with Duncan Henderson (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, The Perfect Storm).  The action-adventure is written by Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber (Red).

In what is shaping up to be the most unique ”A hero by day – and a superhero by night” film of the Summer of 2012, examine these images from ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER’s clandestine diary as it explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold story that shaped our nation. I received a surreptitious package containing this leather-bound book complete with a photo of Mrs. Mary Todd Lincoln and a flash drive encased in a silvery bullet. Upon further inspection it revealed various images and videos from Tim Burton’s and Timur Bekmambetov’s imagining of Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead. For those with a penchant for such visceral, mysterious things, this diary about the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire ranks right up there.

Last weekend, some of the secrets behind the upcoming motion picture thriller ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER were revealed at a special event at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum. Twentieth Century Fox, which unleashes the film in theaters everywhere June 22, flew in journalists and bloggers from around the country to the famed museum, where actor Benjamin Walker, who portrays the 16^th president, director Timur Bekmambetov, co-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith (author of the novel upon which the film is based), and producer Jim Lemley provided a first look at the film’s trailer, as well as selected footage and behind-the-scenes moments. (Tim Burton, who serves as producer, sent in a taped greeting.)

The visitors were treated to a host of treasures including The Gettysburg Address, on display in the Museum’s Treasures Gallery, along with the Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th Amendment (that officially ended slavery). This rare trifecta of key U.S. historical documents displayed together is a seldom seen treat in itself.

Guests also got a close look at Lincoln’s bloodied gloves, his stovepipe hat (made of beaver fur), and correspondence from the President to his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln. In addition, they were treated to a moonlit tour of the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site, the final resting place of Abraham Lincoln, his wife Mary, and three of his four sons.

James Cameron gives a deeper look into TITANIC 3D in this new featurette. Written, directed and produced by Cameron, TITANIC is the second highest grossing movie of all time. It is one of only three films to have received a record 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director; and launched the careers of stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

Called “A spectacular demonstration of what modern technology can contribute to dramatic storytelling” by Variety upon its release in 1997, the long in the works 3D conversion is being overseen by Cameron and his Lightstorm producing partner Jon Landau who produced the hit movie.

James Cameron’s TITANIC will be re-released worldwide on April 6, 2012, marking the 100th anniversary of when the Titanic setting sail (April 10th).

The time is 1973. The Cold War of the mid-20th Century continues to damage international relations. Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), a.k.a. MI6 and code-named the Circus, is striving to keep pace with other countries’ espionage efforts and to keep the U.K. secure. The head of the Circus, known as Control (John Hurt), personally sends dedicated operative Jim Prideaux (Mark Strong) into Hungary. But Jim’s mission goes bloodily awry, and Control is forced out of the Circus – as is his top lieutenant, George Smiley (Gary Oldman), a career spy with razor-sharp senses.

Estranged from his absent wife Ann, Smiley is soon called in to see undersecretary Oliver Lacon (Simon McBurney); he is to be rehired in secret at the government’s behest, as there is a gnawing fear that the Circus has long been compromised by a double agent, or mole, working for the Soviets and jeopardizing England.
