First up we got Actor-Screenwriter Michael Jai White and Director Scott Sanders discussing everything from the concept (an original trailer that they created before the movie even existed), to the epic family atmosphere created on-set.

Sundance Film Festival 2009: ‘Black Dynamite’ Goes to Sony

Fans of blaxploitation be proud! Â �’Black Dynamite’, the spoof on the genre starring Michael Jai White, was picked up by Sony Pictures after the film premiered last night at midnight at the Sundance Film Festival. Â �Studios fought all night long, and Sony picked up the rights this morning at 6AM for an estimated $2 million. Â �This makes ‘Black Dynamite’ the first overnight purchase of this year’s Sundance.

Reports say the movie is planning a franchise for the film along the lines of ‘Austin Powers’ or ‘Friday’. Â �A lot of money is being planned for the marketing campaign that will run alongside the film’s release late this year.

“He carries 2 guns, one to stop trouble and one to start trouble”..damn that line alone should make you want to see this movie! Not to mention it just got accepted to Sundance so everyone is going to be rocking the blaxploitation goodness in just a few short months. Pictured above is the badass shirt that I got a few months ago from Ars Nova Ent.

Well there is a brand new redband trailer for it that you can see below, and KIDS its a red band for a reason so if you are under 18 DO NOT CLICK PLAY.
