“OH MY HOLY CRAP, THE WAMG HALLOWEEN PARTY”…you wont get that quote yet, but you will after you see GENTLEMEN BRONCOS. Anyways, its that time of year again, the 2nd annual WAMG Halloween Party. This year we are doing it a little different, instead of having it at a huge bar where its stupid packed and I don’t get to watch all the hot girls up close don’t get to be more social, we have decided to host it at Matt and I’s humble abode.

So how do you get into this killer party you ask? Well, first off since you are a WAMG reader that means you are already invited. 2nd off, you MUST wear a costume. I know, super lame but its a costume party so they are sort of required. We are also asking that everyone is 21 or older since there will be large amounts of alcohol at this event. Yes we will be checking ID’s at the entrance. If you want all of the details all you have to do is ask! Email us (scott@wearemoviegeeks.com) if you want us to send you all the info.

BLACK DYNAMITE is in theaters now you jive suckas

If you live in one of the below cities and haven’t seen BLACK DYNAMITE then you must be a moron, or you aren’t a hip to one of my favorite movies of 2009. That’s OK, because RIGHT NOW you have a chance to redeem yourself. Stop whatever you are doing tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday night, it is now your mission to get to one of the theaters below and see BLACK DYNAMITE. If you miss this in theaters you will kick your own ass, I wont even have to do it for you. Trailer for the new JGL film UNCERTAINTY

For all of you girls out there that are obsessed with indie heart throb Joseph Gordon-Levitt, today is your day. We have a new trailer to show you from his upcoming thriller UNCERTAINTY.   Watching the trailer you can only make assumptions to what its about, so watch below and YOU tell me because I am pretty clueless… it does look good though.

Kevin Smith talks lack of funding for RED STATE

Kevin Smith has had a horror film in the pipeline for some time now, and we get updates every so often. Well right now is one of those times. He talked to MTV about the film during press for his new book. This is what he had to say:

“‘Red State’ has been tough to find f—ing money for, finding cash has been difficult. It’s not a commercial movie by any stretch of the imagination.”

“I was lobbying for a cheaper movie,” he explained. “One of the guys… who was making the flick with me was lobbying for a more expensive version of the movie. We weren’t going to find [the larger] budget in a zillion years, so I went off and made ‘A Couple of Dicks,’ came back and said ‘let’s re-concentrate our efforts.'”

“Instead of pie-in-the-sky, just down-and-dirty. I made f—ing ‘Clerks’ for crissakes. I can’t be the guy who’s like, ‘well I can’t make a movie for less than $15 million.’ I started my career that way and it’s still how I feel.”

“If money comes together for it, boom,” Smith said, snapping his fingers. “We’re ready to start moving forward. Script’s all done, crew is on board, we just have to find our cast.”

“For me, it’s just like, let’s find some cash, seeing if there’s any cash out there for the f—ing idea, then start attaching talent to it. So that’s where we are on that.”

So there you have it boys and girls, yet another update about the lack of money for this film. Kevin Smith doesnt do HUGE at the box office, but I have a feeling that a really good Kevin Smith slasher flick could do really well. At least it would make back its budget and do good business on DVD. He has a proven track record with that, so PLEASE someone step up to the plate and give him the fucking money to do it. Snap to it.

New Poster for INVICTUS

When you throw Clint Eastwood’s name into any hat these days its almost like guaranteeing an Oscar nod. INVICTUS will most likely be no different when Eastwood steps behind the camera to direct a the film based on Nelson Mandela’s life during the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa. The film stars Morgan Freeman as the then South African President Mandela, and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, the South African team captain.

Bruce Willis confirmed for KANE AND LYNCH adaptation

The big screen adaptation of KANE AND LYNCH, super violent video game about convicted death row murderers, may have gotten its first name attached. Bruce Willis is somewhat being confirmed to play Adam ‘Kane’ Marcus, who in the game is a convicted murderer who killed 25 people in Venezuela. While being bused to Death Row, he and another death row inmate James Seth Lynch are kidnapped and taken hostage by their former employers known as ‘The7’.

One of the films producers Adrian Askarieh recently said in an interview with Game Daily that Bruce Willis would definitely star as Kane and that they start filming in March of 2010. He also mentioned that they would be casting Lynch soon, even though it has been rumored to have been cast as Billy Bob Thornton.

I am pretty freaking excited to see this game on the big screen, especially if they parlay the feel of the game properly. Seeing Bruce Willis as a psychopathic killer will also be quite a treat.

Promo trailer for THE EXPENDABLES is incredible

Well judging from this “promo” trailer for THE EXPENDABLES, this movie is going to kick our asses. Directed by Sylvester Stalone and starring every action star you could ever want or need in one film, there were a lot of questions but now I think we can squash them all. My partner in crime Matt Stuertz is obsessed with Red camera’s and trolls forums for the Red on a regular basis. Yesterday he came across the trailer for this movie which was shot on Red. The movie was done in Vietnam and I cant get alot of details on it right because…I cant read Vietnamese but I assure you after watching the trailer you are going to do everything in your power to check this movie out.
