About
Our Story:
Basically, the site just started as something fun for us to do in our spare time that had to do with movies. I launched the site on December 18, 2007 (here is our first real post) and the site quickly took off. We started getting noticed by a bunch of people, and quickly solidified our spot as a legitimate movie site on the web. We have covered Sundance, SXSW, NY Comic Con, Tribeca, CIFF, CineVegas, SLIFF, Fangoria, Horror Hound, and will be covering many more festivals in the future.
We were lucky enough to bring on Nick Day, who resides in LA, to handle all of the awesome stuff that happens down there, and Jerry in NY to take the reigns up north. They do most of our in person interviews, hit press screenings, attend press junkets, and everything else you can do related to movies.
We Are Movie Geeks was founded by Scott Hutcheson.
