I couldn’t tell you if that’s an actual screen shot or not, but does it bother anyone else how often when prequels are made to sci-fi movies the technology seems to get better even though if anything it should be less advanced? I know it’s a problem that’s hard to avoid with our SFX technology improving all the time… but does it bring anyone else out of the story a little bit?

Yep. We now have stun guns and cell phones with bluetooth head sets. Now they need to make a movie that is set before a TV show from the 60’s. The same issue was raised with the Enterprise series with Scott Bakula. But this is Star Trek and therefore silly.
The real and more important issue is how to make prequels to Star Wars which was made in the late 70’s to early 80’s and used that times special effect technology and then create 3 movies set years before those flicks with 21st century special effect tech.
so yeah, the stores are great, the movies are awesome but how do you get past CGI Yoda in Episode 3 vs. rubber puppet Yoda in Empire?

The photo is not leaked. It is pretty old, and has made its rounds on the internet a couple of times.
