Synopsis:

For the past year, Matt Weston has been frustrated by his inactive, backwater post in Cape Town. A “housekeeper” who aspires to be a full-fledged agent, the loyal company man has been waiting for an opportunity to prove himself. When the first and only occupant he’s had proves to be the most dangerous man he’s ever met, Weston readies for duty.

Tobin Frost has eluded capture for almost a decade. One of the best ops men that the CIA’s known, the ex-intelligence officer has given up assets and sold military intel to anyone with cash since he turned. From trading secrets to North Korea to aiding splinter cells, the damage he’s done to the U.S. is immeasurable. And he’s now back on the reservation with a secret.

As soon as Frost is brought in for debriefing, mercenaries come and tear apart Weston’s safe house. Barely escaping, the unlikely partners must discover if their attackers have been sent by terrorists or someone on the inside who will kill anyone standing in the way. Now it’s up to Weston to figure out who he can trust before they’re both eliminated from the game.

  1. I loved Breach! this is the frighteningly true story of how they caught one of the worst and most damaging spies in U.S. history. Ryan Phillippe plays a young agent who wants nothing more than operational experience. Though, he is paired with a paranoid agent, played by the amazing Chris Cooper, who the agency suspects of spying. They both know he’s guilty. Phillippe’s character just has to get the goods to prove it. A great, real crime-spy thriller.

  2. I really like Spy Game in it Robert Redford plays a seasoned, genius CIA operative forced to play a tense game on his last day in order to save the life of his longtime friend and field operative, played by Brad Pitt. Told in flashback and within the walls of CIA Headquarters at Langley, this is a unique spy thriller

  3. Kevin Ellison says:

It’s not necessarily my favorite, but I have always been a bigger fan of SPY GAME with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt than most people. I just like the way the film looks and feels. It has an engrossing storyline and a satisfying climax at the end. Plus, Redford is hilarious as the old dog CIA guy.

  4. My favorite spy/CIA movie is “The Bourne Identity”

  5. The Bourne Trilogy – engrossing, fast-paced. Matt Damon is terrific as Jason Bourne;extremely smart, superior fighting skills and is a very determined individual.

  6. The Hunt For Red October

  7. Diann Morgan says:

    The Bourne Trilogy

  8. “Burn After Reading” A wonderful black comedy with John Malkovich, who quits his job as a CIA analyst and resolves to write a memoir about his life and career. But when his wife (Tilda Swinton) finds out, she sees it as a justifiable opportunity to file for divorce and continue her extramarital affair unimpeded.

Brad Pitt joins the cast too as a personal trainer.

    Too much sarcastic fun.

  9. I think All the Queen’s Men is my favorite spy movie of all time, closely followed by The Debt and Patriot Games. To be honest I’ll always enjoy every “Jack Ryan” movie, and most spy movies in general.

  10. As an avid movie-goer, I have a lot of favorite spy films, but one of them is “The Debt.” It has an excellent cast, a tremendous story plot, and I felt the same magic “Inglorious Basterds” gave me.

  33. Hopscotch with Walter Matthau. It reminds me it’s time to watch that again.

  34. The Bourne Trilogy. Ludlum’s books come alive in the movies.

  35. The Recruit. Both actors played it well, and who doesn’t love a good double crossing?

  36. The Hunt For Red October. The first reason is the cast that included Sean Connery, Alex Baldwin, James Eral Jone ,Fred Thompson and others. Then the movie has nucelar submarines with stealh propulsion systems, defection, deception and a soviet agent working as a senior aid to a U S Senator. WOW

  37. Any of the MI movies except the second one. Great action, fast paced story, and awesome stunts.

  38. I like Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Sure it’s unbelievable, but the action and scenery are breath taking.

  39. Point of No Return
I loved how they transformed “Maggie” (Bridget Fonda)from a drug addit into a professional killer, and especially how “Bob” helps her escape the job she ends up hating.

  40. Well Im a Die hard Bond fan, but he is not CIA. I also love the Bourne Trilogy and can’t wait to see what Jeremy Renner brings to the role. And, I was very impressed with the reboot of Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol. . .
