  1. Meh. Looks like marketing is trying to do damage control from the horrible first trailer.

  2. Child penguins behaving in a suggestive sexual manner like in the first trailer. Disturbing indeed. The first one was a fluke, riding off the March of the Penguins. This one doesn’t look good.

  3. Trey Johnson says:

yea…. not feeling it . Just lost its touch from the 1st movie. What the hell is the trailer even showing besides dancing penguins? FLOP!

  4. It’s funny reading comments from people rating the movie from a few seconds. Oh well, living with their mums they need all the power trips they can get.

    • It’s totally valid to judge a film based on its trailer. After all the filmmakers are asking you to give the film a chance based on the very same trailer.

This HF2 set of commercials still reveals no story which leads me to believe that their simply is a very bad story and if they revealed it the audience most certainly would not pay to see it.

  5. I don’t know how you’ve gotten that from – well, this. These two TV spots are massive improvements over the shitty, shitty theatrical trailers, and make me look forward to seeing the film again.

As far as whether or not these spots reveal anything of the plot – well, most TV spots don’t. They’re thirty seconds long, and they’re put together to give you the audience more of a sample of the general feel of the work in question, and whether or not they’ve succeeded at that is something you can really only decide after you’ve seen the finished film. The advertising for the the first film did this terribly – it looked like a really shitty movie, when in fact it wasn’t. It does seem like they’re doing damage control for both that and the previous two trailers, but I say good on them for it.

Also, its showing a bit more than dancing penguins, but – you know, it is Happy Feet. It is the second in a series of movies about dancing penguins, and that’s kind of integral to the plot. So. . .yeah?
