SYNOPSIS: Juli Baker devoutly believes in three things: the sanctity of trees (especially her beloved sycamore), the wholesomeness of the eggs she collects from her backyard flock of chickens, and that someday she will kiss Bryce Loski. Ever since she saw Bryce’s baby blues back in second grade, Juli has been smitten. Unfortunately, Bryce has never felt the same. Frankly, he thinks Juli Baker is a little weird–after all, what kind of freak raises chickens and sits in trees for fun? Then, in eighth grade, everything changes. Bryce begins to see that Juli’s unusual interests and pride in her family are, well, kind of cool. And Juli starts to think that maybe Bryce’s brilliant blue eyes are as empty as the rest of Bryce seems to be. After all, what kind of jerk doesn’t care about other people’s feelings about chickens and trees? With Flipped, mystery author Wendelin Van Draanen has taken a break from her Sammy Keyes series, and the result is flipping fantastic. Bryce and Juli’s rants and raves about each other ring so true that teen readers will quickly identify with at least one of these hilarious feuding egos, if not both. A perfect introduction to the adolescent war between the sexes.

I like going to anyplace that has a beach
I like having dinner with my family. We usually get into an amusing argument. If you are unlucky enough to sit next to us, I’d say good luck, but you’d probably be more entertained than shocked. We’re kinda fun :D I also love playing sports with them. We are very, very competitive.
I hope I’m lucky enough to win, I’ve been wanting to watch this movie for so long! I read the book years ago and loved it.
My family likes to have a sit down dinner together watching Law & Order.. and then enjoy a movie after cleaning up :)
Have the fireplace going with all my children and grandkids around and watch a really good disney movie and popcorn to go around a lot.
how do i like to spend an evening with the family
we go out on the beach at night spread out blankets and see who can see the first shooting star
that means good luck
I love to have the kids help make supper, then we watch a family friendly movie.
I like to spend my family evening going grocery shopping at our favorite stores, cooking our favorite dishes, enjoying a good animated film together whether it’s at home or at the theatre and eating our favorite delicious meal. Like the time I went with my family to watch Chicken Little, and we laughed together inside the theatre when there’s barely anybody. Also the time I put on Monster House, and my mom was really into it. She loves watching movies made for kids. That makes my day fun all the time.
watching a movie
We love to camp put in the living room and pretend we are having a picnic and watch a movie with Jim Carey in it. Any of his movies make us laugh.
family night consists of either board game night or movie night. The phones/cell phones and computers are all put on “lock down.” Everyone must spend the entire evening or day in their PJ’s. On Saturdays, its fun to spend all day in your pj”s on book reading day. We go to the library and pick out great books and spend the day lounging and reading, ordering pizza, etc. Great memories for the kids. They also love roasting marshmallows in the fireplace, evening in the summer when you have to crank the AC to keep cool, LOL.
Honestly, as long as I am with my family anything is great. We love to just gather at each other’s house and watch movies and order pizza. I have a smaller family and often we go see movies together. Ironically, my wife, mom, dad, my grandparents and me went to see Flipped at the theatre over the weekend and EVERYONE really LOVED it. There was something for every generation. I love the music as does my parents and grandparents. Not to mention this story transcends generations and everyone could relate to the story. I would love to add this film to my collection so we could all watch anytime.
Thanks for the chance to obtain a copy for free.
