Synopsis: After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl (Emma Stone) sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne’s in “The Scarlett Letter”, which she is currently studying in school-until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.

My torment was being picked on, I was a big guy but never really stood up for myself so I was an easy target.
I was picked on because I was the “smart” kid. I hated it then, but now it’s my turn to laugh when I see the people who used to pick on me waiting tables at Applebee’s.
My biggest torment was gym class. Shy and afraid of everything and everyone and last to be picked for any team. My tormentors were always the girls from my grade school. I would do almost anything to get a pass on gym class. I was too much of a nobody for anyone to bother starting a rumor about me I guess. I was mostly clueless. I don’t want to go back there for anything. I’m old and there have been a lot of reunions. I don’t go. I didn’t like those people then and I have no interest in seeing them now.
My biggest high school torment was when we had to do gymnastics for gym. The boys and girls were together for this and you had to do the rings, horse, uneven bars, balance beam, etc. I was not graceful at all. I lied and told the male gym teacher I had cramps one day just to get out of it. He wasn’t going to question a female thing!
My biggest tormenter was Baby Herc. I forgot his name, but we were both wrestlers at the same weight (119). I was 6’1″, skin and bones.I was too tall for the small uniform and the large was so big they had to tape the straps so the uni would stay on. Baby Herc was 5’2″ and muscle bound. He had more muscles in his neck then I had in my whole body. I beat him once, won on forfeit once, and lost seven times including 3 first round pins.Once we went to overtime, I was so tired and he was laughing before the extra period. I knew I was in trouble. He picked me up and threw in the air. when I landed. I up laid there so he could pin me. I had enough.
There was a guy Conrad who constantly picked on me. He always sat near me in class. He ended up in prison & is now free to roam the country & pick on more innocent people.
I was usually called “Dino”, due to my lanky build, archaeological knowledge, and resemblance to a certain ‘Meet the Robinsons’ side character (“I have a big head and small arms!” [watch the trailer]). Though it has followed me into college, I choose to accept it as a term of endearment.
The biggest torment for me in High School was that I was a closet homosexual. But I show them all…I CAME OUT!
I pretty much flew under the radar all through high school, however there was one situation were because i was afraid to hurt her feelings, i agreed to “go out with” this girl. Turns out she was crazy. After 2 days of warnings from my friends, i broke it off and what does she do? She goes all Obsessed on me and spreads rumors that she’s pregnant (we never even hugged!) She was quite the burden for about a month. It was also around the time of homecoming, and she tried to tell me that her “senior friends” (all of which probably lived in her head) were going to nominate us as court couples and she said it would be really awkward if we weren’t together. I’m like…Hell no.
My Best Friend in high school and I had a falling out and she spread a rumor that I was trying to be like her claiming everything I had and did was because of her! this ridiculous rumor caused a HUGE fight..her cousin and I were dating and after the fight of course I no longer had a date to homecoming.. lol
Biggest Torment: kissed a boy from another school and …, the next day I was the rumor going around, cause that guy “Kissed and Told”.
Ah, my brother slammed that door shut QUICKLY. And no one was EVER gonna say anything bad about me after that…wow how rumors can die quickly!
Biggest Torment: I was caught in the middle a of rumor about trying to make out with another guy while he was passed out drunk. Come to find out some kids were sitting in class and thought “Hey, lets start a rumor about someone and tell everyone!” I happened to be the victim. Was I picked on? Heck yes!! I was miserable for at least a week!
I wore glasses as thick as a coke bottle and dresses made by my grandmother, so yes, I was picked on by everyone!
My biggest problem in school was that I was weird. I was one of those people who said what I thought and people hated me for it. I was called really bad names, and they even spread a rumor that I was pregnant. It actually ruined my high school education.
I stood up for my school to the local media, who re-edited my interview to make me look like an idiot! I was teased a lot for it, but I did what no one else had the courage to do!
thanks a lot
