That is why I stated "Wikipedia states that it is a $30,000".

From Wikipedia.org:
According to Greg Ellery, the actor who portrayed Steven in The Room, Wiseau came to the Birns and Sawyer film lot, rented a studio, and bought a "complete Beginning Director package," which included the purchase of both a brand new film camera and a $30,000 digital camera intended for shooting the "making of."[10]

Where did you get that number? Either way, it's ridiculous.

This movie geek will be there Friday night! Can't wait to see the whole thing.

Also, another crazy bit about the filmmaking portion of this thing is that Wiseau filmed THE ROOM simitaneously with a 35mm & a digital video camera that shot on miniDV. Wikipedia states that it was a $30,000 digital camera he shot on. The current issue of Paracinema Magazine (http;//www.paracinema.net) actually has a picture of the rig in an article they wrote about the flick.
