THE LAST AIRBENDER: Super Bowl TV Spot
Paramount’s been crack-a-lackin’. On Sunday during the Superbowl, the studio will unveil their latest, expensive 30 second ad for M. Night Shyamalan’s THE LAST AIRBENDER. As recent as last month, Producer Frank Marshall confirmed over on his Twitter page that, “the new theatrical trailer will be attached to PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS.…and will be about 2 minutes long.” Just today Marshall, aka “LeDoctor,” tweeted “AIRBENDER ALERT! Exclusive first look at Super Bowl spot!” So here ya go:
Along with the latest trailer, Paramount also gave the movie’s official site, thelastairbendermovie.com, a facelift – complete with music from James Newton Howard’s score, downloads, and gallery pics. And if you’re a Shyamalan fan, like me, you can get your geek on with THE LAST AIRBENDER Facebook page and catch up on all the latest updates for the film.
The film’s synopsis:
Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Four nations tied by destiny when the Fire Nation launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction. Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements. Aang teams with Katara (Nicola Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother, Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), to restore balance to their war-torn world. Dev Patel also stars as Prince Zuko. Based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series, the live-action feature film THE LAST AIRBENDER is the opening chapter in Aang’s struggle to survive.
From Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, look for the Journey to Begin on July 2nd.

I have loved the Avatar series since I first started watching with my kids two years ago – I still watch them on Netflix, no kids around. While I see this movie regardless, I'm getting a very……………lame……….feeling. There is some nice visuals and frankly, the story line alone sells the movie if they don't F it up too much….but there is the smell of cheesyness here. I know it's for kids at it's core….but the nature of the series and the story are certainly for all ages. I really hope I'm wrong.
Nice post. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up!

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPods. It works well, but isnt as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser thats not an issue, but if youre planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPods larger screen and better browser may be important.
