DGA Nominees
The Directors Guild of America announced the five nominees for the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for 2009.
- Kathryn Bigelow – THE HURT LOCKER
- James Cameron – AVATAR
- Lee Daniels – PRECIOUS: Based on the novel “Push” by Sapphire
- Jason Reitman – UP IN THE AIR
- Quentin Tarantino – INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
Three cheers for Tarantino! Would love to see him win. Most noticeably left off – Clint Eastwood. Something tells me that Oscar voters will replace Daniels with Eastwood on their ballots. Last year’s recipient was Danny Boyle for SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. The winner will be named at the 62nd Annual DGA Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the Hyatt Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
On a sidenote, Norman Jewison (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, MOONSTRUCK) will receive this year’s lifetime achievement award for Distinguished Achievement in Motion Picture Direction, at the 62nd Annual DGA Awards on January 30, 2010.

I think INVICTUS has been long forgotten in this year's Oscar race.
It'll be interesting to see how much the AMPAS voters love Clint…or is it just a media myth?
Sorry for the massive thoughts but I many of. Firstly, amazing authentic post; normally, I don’t feel inspired to write on a weblog unless there is one thing that stands out to me to complete so. Just a little history I perform in global finance inside a boutique firm. Here is my story: While i 1st turned 21, I started buying and selling from several scraps of pages from the “Intelligent Investor.” Of course, like any kid, I began investing in online investopedia before that. I first attempted my hand in investing in economic derivatives like futures/swaps etc. but lost a lot of income however. After that, I became more substantially more knowledgeable with my funds – I read from an post that Delos Chang published regarding the mindset of financiers along with the Wall Street Journal daily and began investing my income into mutual index funds from the S&P 500. Obviously, this was soon after the Internet Stock Bubble came about and all the drug scandals in Mexico (I had a great deal of currency in pesos before they pegged it to the dollar). But also in terms with the systemic risk, I needed to diversify and make a surefire return in the long run. I’d say that in terms of investment , you won’t get rich with the S&P 500 mutual index funds nevertheless, you will at least hedge against some positive loss by trading unless you’re an informational trader (which handful of of us are!). But I know you can learn this from any finance class!
My husband and i were now more than happy Ervin could deal with his reports via the precious recommendations he made while using the web site. It is now and again perplexing just to choose to be giving away helpful hints many people could have been trying to sell. Therefore we fully understand we now have the writer to appreciate for that. The specific illustrations you made, the easy site navigation, the friendships you help promote – it is mostly astounding, and it is assisting our son and the family understand the subject matter is cool, and that’s really essential. Thanks for the whole thing!
