Butcher Brothers Give Brief Synopsis on BLACK SUNSET

It was announced on Friday via The Hollywood Reporter that The Butcher Brothers, currently at Sundance to promote their film, THE VIOLENT KIND, were already hard at work on their next project.   Entitled BLACK SUNSET, the psychological horror film would be written and directed by The Butcher Brothers, Mitch Altieri and Phil Flores.

We Are Movie Geeks got a chance to sit down with The Butcher Brothers to discuss THE VIOLENT KIND, and we asked them what they could tell us about BLACK SUNSET.

Says Altieri:

It’s a cool, hardcore, psychological horror film about a group of surfers who take a trip down to Mexico. We’re gonna call it LORDS OF DOGTOWN meets THE SHINING.

Flores added:

It’s kind of like a page out of ENDLESS SUMMER but with a lot of blood.
