16th Screen Actors Guild Awards Winners

In a repeat of last week’s Golden Globes Awards, Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Christoph Waltz, and Mo’Nique  took home the Actor Statuette  on Saturday evening at the  Screen Actors Guild Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles. With no real surprises or upsets at the SAGS, its becoming more apparent that these four are all but guaranteed  nominations on February 2nd and possible wins at the Academy Awards on March 7th.

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS was the winner of best performance by a cast in a motion picture. While not nominated for a SAG award, AVATAR is seen by most pundits as the Oscar frontrunner.

The Winners in Motion Picture:

Sandra Bullock presented Betty White, 88, with the Screen Actors Guild’s Life Achievement Award following a filmed tribute. White accepted the  award  along with a clever  quip  aimed at  Bullock, “Isn’t it heartening to see how far a girl as plain as she is can go.”

  1. Kanye West says:

Carey Mulligan or Meryl Streep should bring me as their date to the Oscars next month.

So when that mediocre film actress Sandra Bollocks wins her undeserved Best Actress prize, I can go on the stage and do my thing.

“Hey, Sandra, I’mma let you finish and everything, but Meryl Streep and Carey Mulligan had the best performances of this year! THIS YEAR!!”

Seriously, the star of “All About Steve” better not be cited as this year’s best.

    Warm Regards,
