No One Sweeps the Leg in the KARATE KID Trailer
Oh, the iconic moment in John G. Avildsen’s 1984 modern classic, THE KARATE KID, just before the big, final fight when Martin Kove instructs William Zabka to sweep Daniel-san’s leg. It’s one of those moments in time that goes down in history like Rosebud or the bridge over the River Kwai exploding. You won’t find that here in the trailer for THE KARATE KID remake, brought to us by Yahoo! Movies.
What you will find is a whole lot of Kung Fu, and you understand fully why the producers had such a hard time choosing a name. In the end, brand loyalty won out, and THE KARATE KID was officially born.

All in all, it looks alright. Jackie Chan is filling the Pat Morita role nicely, although I would be hard pressed to believe Chan would receive a Best Supporting Actor nod at the 2011 Oscars. Jaden Smith looks fine. Just about everything about this movie looks fine. No big complaints, but I’d still like to see someone sweeping the leg.

Erm there quite clearly is a leg sweep in that trailer done on the main character by one of the Chinese kids
Chan looks like he will be rad in this movie.
I am NOT watching this movie… Don't get me wrong, Jackie Chan is awesome. My objection to this film has nothing to do with Jackie Chan!!! HOWEVER, If the new trend in digging-up and reincarnating old movies involves replacing the main character(the kid) with a radical, political agenda, then I think we're all screwed.
I don't like where this is going. Furthermore, I would think a lot of other people feel the same way, so this film probably won't do very well at the box office.
Bamaboy, get your head out of the sand. Quit fighting battles that been settled 150 years ago. What the hell has Jaden Smith (or Will for that matter) done to you. Stay yyou ass at home who cares. Better still crawl into a cave with the rest of those who think like you and whistle Dixie.
The plot is pretty much the same as the original
Kid move to new area
Meets a girl
Is bullied
Take martial arts lessons from old man
enters tournament and wins
Whats the point!
