WOLFMAN Even Scary in Thailand

wolfman thailand poster

I don’t speak Thai, nor do I have the ability to read something in Thai.   The website JEDIYUTH has the poster for THE WOLFMAN you see above along with a paragraph of crazy squiggles.   I believe it roughly translates to, “My God.   My God.   Look at how bad-ass that giant wolfman is.   I really hope that’s the work of Rick Baker and not CG.”

Actually, I don’t think it says that at all.   I’m pretty sure Rick Baker translates to Rick Baker in Thai, and I don’t see his name on the site any where.   Nonetheless, this poster is pretty sweet, and it almost, ALMOST, makes me wish I knew how to read Thai.

What amazes me even more is the date at the bottom of this poster.   December 2nd, 2010.   I’m assuming that is when the film’s planned release is for Thailand, and, if that is the case, the marketing for this film is hitting pretty early over there.

THE WOLFMAN hits American theaters on February 10th, 2010.

  1. Poster does look badass. I think the date might be Feb 12 2010. Here in india we write the date first followed by the month.

  2. Kirk,
    The wordings in Thai are:
“ On the night when the moon is still not a full one ( see: http://www.larndham.net/moon/moon.php , the 25 Nov. 2009 – in the moon calendar t is the 7th date of the moon rise , — literary ) UIPsent a poster for a thriller movie , the Wolfman – the king of evils , to thrill us and UIP said that this poster will only be used in Thailand. The poster appears to be made locally ,…………….. The movie will be shown next February” .

By the way in Thailand 12.02.10 is 12 February 2010 (DD/MM/Year) not (MM/DD/Year) so it will hit Thai theaters 2 days after the date you mentioned that it will hit American theaters.

  3. How stupid can you really be!!! You are writing a piece on a website and 'what really amazes ME' is the fact that you have never seen or heard about the fact that in Thailand and in the UK we put the day then the month and not the other way round. Firstly it makes sense and I dont understand why anyone would do it the other way round and secondly after some 'careful' reflection time…e.g 3 seconds could you not figure that out hahahah what an idiot!!

  4. I love the Avatar 3D movie, especially the story line, not only it brings a completely new sensation however inspiring thoughts of humanity. I heard the New Avatar 2 is comming soon, cannot wait to see it again…!

  5. I may be a Farang, but I feel I have a Thai spirit. Sanook and Mai ben lai all the way . These views can take us through challenges with a smile.

  6. Been following this site and I enjoy your writing. Pattaya has some of the finest food in the world. All other food seems to be bland in comparison to Thai food. I sure love Thailand.

  7. I just could not go away your website prior to suggesting that I extremely enjoyed the usual information a person supply to your visitors? Is gonna be again continuously to investigate cross-check new posts
