I just watched House of the Devil again and how did you know that the pizza given to her was drugged? I mean, yeah the bad guy gave it to her, Mr whatever mentioned pizza on the fridge like 3-4 times. I thought she began to pass out due to the negative energy of the devil women. The door was opening just as she began to pass out. Thats what I thought.

As for the pregnancy, did those people rape her or something or was it the devil blood that she drank, sort of, that made her pregnant? Also, Tom Noonan yells "No!" because she shot herself before the eclipse finished – thats what i though.

Also, I think she shot herself in the head because she already had problems controlling her emotions, telling herself to pull herself together and I think that the images just sent her over the edge and the entire incident just ruined her. After all, she did see her best friends face missing on the kitchen floor.

While we're on the topic of SPOILERS, I'm pretty sure the intent of the cult was to impregnate her. She realized she was carrying the devil's spawn, so she tried to off herself. This is why Tom Noonan's character yells "No!" when she shoots herself. As for how she survived, that's film logic at its best. Could be an act of God. Could be the devil working his health +5 spell on her just before she died. Who knows?

I agree with most of what is said here. Although the ending completely threw me for a loop and then confused me even more so just before the credits. SPOILER ALERT: why did she shoot herself? Was it the effect(s) of the drugs used on her? Was she delirious? SPOILER ALERT #2: um, how did she survive a gunshot to the head and end up pregnant? It's pretty clear – well, to me at least – that murder was the cult's intent, and not impregnating her somehow (?).
