I just seen the film and was truly impressed. It was scary, different, and very compelling to say the least. Well done and made me ponder several questions in my mind.

Ya' know, you'd have to live here to see how incredibly ridiculous this film is. First of all, the location of Nome looked like a metropolis on the arial establishing shots. AND, the entire area is flat, so I have NO CLUE where the monstrous trees came from and the mountainous areas. I can't think of ANYWHERE in Alaska that huge coniferous trees grow, except maybe out in southeast Alaska (Juneau area) which is closer to Seattle than one might imagine. Granted, scenery isn't everything in a film, but authenticity is. Everyone is caucasion, except for the African doctor character. Where are the native people who have occupied the area for - well - EVER?
Hoax, hoax, hoax - unfortunately, people in America tend to be a little less media savvy than they should be. The same people who really thought that the pipeline was in Barrow Alaska and that only one plane flies in there in a 30 day span (as depicted in 30 Days of Night) will be duped into thinking this is a true story. Funny filmakers.

Very disappointing. I was told it was believable by a friend & I couldn't disagree more! I agree that the world is not flat so I imagine there must be others in this vast universe other than ourselves but The Fourth Kind does not show any sign of it. Poor directing and photography, lousy script etc.......Again very disappointing & not worth my very limited money or time.
