This is very powerful. It is so gut wrenching at times, almost to painful to watch. The director forces you to walk in the shoes of simple child, with stolen childhood innocence, living in an evil, voilent and uncaring world and finding hope in the middle of the hopelessness.Great performances. This is the best movie I have seen this year. Nothing in the theater will move you more than this picture. It is not an easy watch, but it is not supossed to be. I have seen only two Oscar worthy films this year, “Precious” and “Sin Nombre’ I hope that the voters honor them now that there are 10 slots.
